His reclusive lifestyle is challenged when he meets a graduate student who is investigating the affects of the mining o erations on a local water source. The film was shot on location in Fairbanks. The cinematogra hy is beautiful and genuine. There is nothing fake or stereoty ical about the ortrayal of the subarctic summer and lifestyle. Filmed during in mid-June during the longest day of the year, the cinematogra her and the director make excellent use of the midnight sun and the seasonal beauty unique to this art of the world. For this Fairbanksan, it was refreshing to see a film where Interior Alaska is ortrayed with such integrity. Daniel Ponickly, who stars as Jack delivers a good erformance as the widower who is lost in his grief. Ponickly also wrote the screen lay. This is the second full length feature film for director Zoe Quist. Her first film, Raw Cut, a thriller was also filmed in a anoramic environment -Dubois, WY- she made excellent use of the natural beauty of the environment. Through these two different stories, Quist roved her directing talent and ability. Newcomer Carrie Baker, and veteran Mischa Barton give very good erformances. I would have liked to see more of Barton. Syd Wilder, is very convincing as the waitress with a heart of gold and a body for sin as are very convincing in their bad boy roles Jonathan Bennett and Levi Ben-Israel. Billy Zane is well cast as a UAF School of Geo hysics rofessor, Toly Ramirez wrote the score for Mining for Ruby, as he did the haunting music for Raw Cut. The length of the film is 95 minutes and this writer found them to be a very enjoyable way to rediscover his home town.

简介：在伦敦一条繁忙的街道上，吉娜突然看见“自己”正开着自己的车从身旁经过。在被这起奇怪的事件震惊之余，吉娜跟随这个神秘的女人到她的公寓。在这里，事情将变得越来越怪诞，吉娜将来到一个比自己的噩梦更为神出鬼没的世界。破坏欲电影网友评论：谈不上好看，但是风格比较明显。整体画面风格清冷理性，叙事节奏略缓慢，撞车的场景拍出了迷离的韵味，在小成本恐怖片里尚算有些逼格的。背景是一个细思恐极的故事，导演对恐怖的表现内敛而隐晦，一些细节在观众脑补后更觉吓人，结尾的画面长久停留在女主森冷的表情上，更是让老衲有种汗毛竖起的感觉本来以为是单纯讲替身综合症的，没想到是借用此种概念的惊悚片，镜子碎掉并无隐喻，我以为的情况就是真实情况，影评中从贴吧转过来的确实不错，或许还是有隐喻，只是表达的太简单粗暴直接。不过从另一个角度看，罹患替身综合症的人看身边的人或许都是这样的感觉吧。创意不错中间某些地方配上配乐着实让人心里发寒起一身鸡皮疙瘩但是影片故事开始地突然结束地也突然中途总觉得自己是不是在看鬼镜的新续集最后的反转也算是比较出彩“镜子”确实是让人最恐惧但当代人又最需要的物件之一题材不新鲜，一切走向都在预料之中，不过关于镜子的恐怖片还是觉得很可怕，让我想起读过的《魔镜隐身记》结尾“我的弟弟左撇子在用右手接球”那种拔凉的感觉。。。其实镜像是本体人格的反面吧？瑟曦阿姨您还是黑发好看些。。。妈蛋这么棒的名字内容坑爹到死！干脆叫镜子中人吧不过那已经是一句话剧透了（。）选做睡前电影是在太合适，节奏很拖很沉闷……熬到一半安稳地睡着了，BTW镜里的人把手塞到本体口里面莫名喜感，最后发现影评比电影好看多了挺有意思，但是女主发现真男朋友在阁楼的尸体的时候第一时间为什么不是打电话报警而且给她爸和她弟打电话还说的那么不清楚？另外女主回忆起来自己杀自己的时候，头被套塑料袋窒息为什么不用手把塑料袋扣一个洞？（2009年12月4日）开始“替身综合症”的说法真是逻辑惊悚片的模样。渐渐发现，其实还是那些虚无的东西作怪，导演根本就不给个合理解释让你“原来如此”，“替身综合症”只是个假想罢了。当发现自己也只是镜子里人，电影比较闷无趣平淡铺垫过长比较考验演技，个人并不喜欢探讨这类隐喻哲学命题的电影，在我看来镜子里的人这种设定在现实中是不会存在的。配乐故弄玄虚地一惊一乍，其实就是以镜子破掉会带来霉运的古老迷信作为内核撑起来的无聊故事。完全为了给琳娜秀身材秀颜值的电影。福利加星。看的时候挺紧张的，每次看到破碎的玻璃，都期待发生点什么，可是又没有什么发生，要发生就那么毫无征兆的发生了，结局感觉有点仓促。比起cashback还是有许多相似之处的。隐晦的哲学表达，扑面而来的绝望和苦涩。但可惜剧情过于羸弱，象征性的东西又太多了。额……还是……很明显的故事，给的提示很多也很直白，但还是有几个镜头惊悚到我了~没什么硬伤，也不会显得很低级，所以还行吧……
